Where & Why Country Holidays
Cwm-Moel is
a 17th century farmhouse on the side of a peaceful road that winds up the
unspoilt Edw valley (once described in the Shell Guide as the most beautiful
valley in Britain). It is surrounded by farmland that on one side leads
down to the River Edw (100 yards) and on the other side leads up to the
surrounding hills. Cwm-Moel, graded 4 star by Visit Wales with 3 ensuite
bedrooms, is tastefully furnished with a mixture of antique and traditional
furniture. It
has a comfortable and relaxing visitors lounge with a variety of books
and a well equipped music room with a grand piano. If needed log fires
burn in the old stone fireplaces but the house is fully central heated.
The majority of food is locally produced with Welsh Lamb, Welsh Black Beef,
Free Range Eggs and vegetables(when in season), all from home farm. If
guests enjoy fishing Trout can be caught 100 yards from the house and served
fresh for breakfast!
