Surrounding Area
Cwm-Moel is surrounded by beautiful countryside and walks, both hill and lowland. Bird watching is also a popular occupation, be it the Red Kite on the hills or the Little Dipper under the nearby bridge. Private trout fishing is also available in the Edw but fishermen can go further a field just two examples of the many waters are the River Wye or the Elan Valley reservoirs. Accommodation is also available for horses if guests wish to ride in the surrounding countryside. Guests are also invited to sample Mervyn's Homemade Cider, which is known by the local people as Edw Gold.
Cwm-Moel is central for touring Wales and the English border counties, Brecon, Builth Wells, Hay on Wye, Kington, Llandrindod Wells and Rhayader are all within 15-40 minutes away.
Also within 20 minutes drive you can easily access Horse Riding, Golf courses and the Royal Welsh Show ground.
